Books & Fanzines - Pandemia

Pandemia

The visual testimony of 26 Latin American and Spanish photographers, altruistically united in a humanitarian project, with the aim of creating a documentary and visual memory of a universal health crisis.

The reflection of moments and glances of the greatest catastrophe that has devastated the world globally in the 21st century, with lethal effects that far exceed the number of victims of any conflict with conventional weapons.

The benefits of this photographic project, in which internationally renowned professionals participate in the work of documenting events and situations of great social impact, are entirely intended to help families of photographers who have died while covering the pandemic in different countries of the world, and that are at risk of social exclusion.

Creadores de Conciencia

Photography can create awareness in spite of itself, that is, photography is not a language that can be easily controlled, it is something that happens regardless of the professional who takes the photo, but the dissemination of that photograph allows it to reach a recipient, What is the general public, who reacts to that? Yes, photography can create any sensation: ennui, boredom, disappointment, beauty. But also conscience. “What if photography can create awareness? Just look back a bit. Let's think about the Spanish Civil War, about that photo of Robert capa that everyone has in their memory, the one of the militiaman dying. As early as 1936, he wisely layered the power of photography to raise awareness. He came to fight fascism not with a gun, but with his camera.
